Indian Visa for Australian Citizens
What is the difference between a tourist visa and a business visa?
There are two types of visas that allow entry into India for Australian citizens – the Tourist Visa and the Business Visa. Both visas allow for a stay of up to six months in India.
The main difference between a tourist visa and business visa is the purpose of travel. A tourist visa is granted for leisure travel, while a business visa is granted for business-related travel. Business visas can also be granted for purposes such as attending conferences or meetings, conducting research, or participating in sports or cultural events.
Tourist visas are generally easier to obtain than business visas, as they require less documentation. However, all visitors to India must have a valid passport and sufficient funds to support their stay. Those travelling on a business visa must also provide proof of their business activities in India.
Types of visas offered to Australian citizens
There are a few different types of visas that are offered to Australian citizens who wish to travel to India. The most common type of visa is the tourist visa, which allows you to stay in India for up to 60 days. If you want to stay for longer than 60 days, you can apply for a business visa, which allows you to stay for up to 90 days. If you are planning on staying in India for an extended period of time, you can apply for a student visa, which allows you to stay for up to 180 days. There are also work visas and journalist visas available, but these are less common.
Visa requirements for Indian citizens
All Indian citizens need a visa to enter Australia. There are two types of visas available for Indian citizens – the Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) and the Visitor visa. Indian Visa for Spanish Citizens
The ETA is an electronically-stored authority for short visits to Australia for tourism or business purposes. It is available to Indian passport holders through travel agents, airlines or online through the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.
Indians applying for an ETA must have a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond the date of their planned departure from Australia. They must also have a return ticket to India or onward ticket to another country.
The Visitor visa is a longer-term option for those planning to stay in Australia for tourism, business, study or to visit family and friends. It allows multiple entries into Australia over a 12-month period.
To apply for a Visitor visa, Indian citizens must submit an online application through the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection website. They will need to provide evidence of their identity, such as a passport, as well as evidence of their reason for visiting Australia. Applicants may also be required to provide biometric information, such as fingerprints and a digital photo.
Requirements for Spanish citizens
All Spanish citizens need a valid passport to enter India. They also need a visa, which can be obtained from the Indian Mission in Spain or through an authorised visa agent. The type of visa required will depend on the purpose and duration of the visit.
Tourist visas are valid for up to 6 months and can be extended for another 6 months. Business visas are valid for up to 1 year and can be extended for another 6 months. Student visas are valid for the duration of the course, up to 5 years.
Visas must be used within 3 months of issuance and allow multiple entries into India. Applicants must submit a completed visa application form, along with 2 recent passport-size photographs and the applicable visa fee. Additional documents may be required depending on the purpose of travel.
